On October 6th, a full dress practice took place in Prayagraj in the arrangement for the 91st-anniversary celebration of the Indian Air Force. The main highlights of the ceremony included a conventional parade and an aerial display over Sangam in the afternoon.

The Indian Air Force marked its 91st anniversary with a conventional parade held at the Bamrauli Air Force Station in Prayagraj on the morning of October 8th. The festivities commenced with a parade and fly-past at the Bamrauli Air Force Station in Prayagraj at around 7:45 a.m.

In the afternoon, a remarkable airshow was set to take place above Triveni Sangam, beginning at 2:30 p.m. The airshow included a set of fighter planes like Sukhoi 30, MiG 29, Rafale, Jaguar, and more. Furthermore, the Akashganga team thrilled the audience with their bold aerial military exercises, attracting a large crowd who came to witness this significant event at Sangam, as reported by ANI.

The IAF was initially formed as a supporting force for the Royal Air Force of the United Kingdom in 1932, with its first operational squadron recognized in 1933. Over the years, the IAF has played a crucial role in various major operations, including Operation Vijay, Operation Meghdoot, Operation Cactus, and Operation Poomalai since 1950.

Air Force Day honours the official inauguration of the Indian Air Force (IAF) into India's armed forces in 1932. Every year, the Indian Air Force chief and senior officers make a special appearance at this event.

In a statement on X, Prime Minister Narendra Modi comprehensive his wishes to air Soldiers on Air Force Day, stating, "Best wishes to all air Soldiers and their families on Air Force Day. India takes great Honor in the bravery, dedication, and unwavering assurance of the Indian Air Force. Their exceptional service and martyrs are the cornerstone of our nation's sky's security.

In a statement on X, Union Home Minister Amit Shah conveyed his greetings, saying, "Greetings and warm wishes to all Indian Air Force personnel and their families on the event of the #91stAnniversary of this remarkable force.
We are proud of our Air Soldiers who play a significant role in keeping India safe. Today, the Indian Air Force stands as a powerful and effective defence-honoured, extending its air strength far and wide. Wishing all the Air Force members a happy #IndianAirForceDay!.

In a statement on X, President Droupadi Murmu stated her greetings, saying, "Greetings to all our air Soldiers and their families on Air Force Day! Our Air Force has been reaching new heights.

The nation is honor to have such a strong, courageous, and dynamic Air Force that is always ready to face challenges. I salute our inspiring heroes who not only protect the skies but also stand at the forefront of humanitarian assistance."

In a statement on X, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath communicated his sincere congratulations and best wishes to the brave Soldiers of the Indian Air Force and their families on 'Indian Air Force Day,' emphasizing the Honor felt for the golden history of bravery, courage, and heroism formed by the brave sons of Mother India. Jai Hind!
In a message on X, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said, "The Indian Air Force, like a strong protector with brave hearts, has always sheltered our country, whether during war or peace. On this special day, I want to honour their important service and martyrs to keep our nation safe."
